Circle K Wins Awards at 2024 District Conference
Congratulations to the members of Circle K International at Shawnee State University! They won three awards at the Governor’s Banquet on February 17 at the 2024 Ohio District CKI convention. President Makayla Aiken received second place for the Outstanding President Award, and the club was named the Most Improved Club Award for District Involvement. In addition, they received third place for the Single Service Award.

Recent guest speakers at Kiwanis were Julie Hutchinson and Jodi Conkel who provided us with information about the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office's Special Victim’s Unit. Julie (left) is Chief Assistant and Special Victims Prosecutor for the Prosecutor's Office, and Jodi (right) is Special Victims Detective Sergeant for the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. They are pictured with President-Elect Dan DeLotell.
The unit investigates mostly child victim crimes, but it also addresses crimes against elderly and other vulnerable populations such as handicapped individuals.
